Welcome to Midu Arabians

ABOUT US- Midu Arabians is a small breeding stud, on 18 acres of lush pastures. We are situated approximately 45 minutes drive west of the Brisbane CBD, in the beautiful Lockyer Valley. The stud facilities include 6 separate stables with run yards, permanent town water supply, round exercise yard, and undercover wash bay.

The stud was founded in 1985 with the purchase of 2 purebred mares of English bloodlines, one of which (Pimpala Akoolah) was to become our foundation mare. We then purchased the stallion, Talquah Telstar (Arim X Kehilan Star Queen). After our initial purchase, and a lot of research, we decided that we would breed predominantly English/Egyptian bloodlines.

In 1994, a special colt was born, MIDU SILVER SULTAN (Kardo Mordo Khamsin x Midu Kalexi). Midu Arabians decided to keep this colt and he is today one of our senior stallions.

In 1995 our dream was realized when we imported the Straight Egyptian Stallion MEADOW MAGIC (IMP USA). We then spent a lot of time acquiring a collection of mares to breed to both of these stallions, some of these mares we purchased and some were bred by Midu Arabians.

	In 2003, another dream was realized, when we acquired two Straight Egyptian Mares to breed to Meadow Magic, and so the next phase of our breeding program is about to commence. We are a small stud, and do not breed foals every year, but we endeavor to breed pretty, functional foals, that will do whatever their owners require of them. Midu Arabians show their horses at halter and under saddle. We welcome visitors to our stud, to enjoy seeing our beautiful horses and to chat about our passion- the Arabian Horse.
